Despite my main focus being programming, the Senior Electrical Engineer knew that I would be interested in learning something new, so he gathered the electronic hardware and taught me how to solder. We spent days in the electronics lab going over topics and things to be aware of. Slowing down, being precise, and knowing the importance of organized work space came as a result of spending time and talking to the Engineer. The things that we discussed were just as important, if not more important, than the actual soldering skills being learned. I greatly appreciate everything surrounding this project.
The LED display was damaged. Despite everything being assembled properly, the clock would only partially light up. This did not take any of the pride or happiness that I got from assembling it away because I knew everything that went into it.
